Greece to launch elections due to general strike

Police officers and fire fighters in Greece have joined the general strike, along with all the other strikers across the country. According to an insider source, this may force the government to launch yet another election. The farmers have intensified their road blocks and business is at a standstill.

The pension reform is at the heart of this general strike and was imposed by Greece’s creditors. But the Greek people will not be fooled and will not accept any changes that will further impoverish the population. It is very likely that PM Tsipras will be forced to call it quits and launch elections. Solidarity is strong among the Greek people, more than ever.
